Alternative Sentencing Program
Madison County Attorney’s Office
The Alternative Sentencing Program provides for various alternative sanctions imposed in disposition of cases in Madison County District Court. The program provides alternatives to incarceration based on the nature and severity of the underlying offenses, the degree of supervision required, and the defendant’s individual risk level. Sanctions may include educational programs, community labor, court ordered counseling or therapy, and the like.
The program is designed to help address Madison County’s ever growing jail population, to provide free labor to community partners to assist in their charitable outreach, and to provide an opportunity for offenders to pay their debt to society while maintaining their liberty.
If you have been approved to participate in this program or to enroll please contact Hannah Pope at 859-624-4777, extension 5.
